By accessing low interest loans and taking advantage of state tax credits, a company can readily lower their cost of doing business. An additional advantage of state tax credits is the lowering of tax obligations each year.

The Manufacturer Advantage Program can help lower business costs, if fiscal capital is necessary, by packaging a loan application that can be shopped around to obtain the lowest interest rate possible. If a company is qualified, the loan program (for using recycled materials in manufacturing) offered by the California Integrated Waste Management Board will be sought because the interest rate in that program is generally one of the lowest available.

In addition, by working with the Manufacturer Advantage Program, the City’s Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network can readily be accessed. Free services include: “Post a Job Opening”, mass recruitment, Jobs Fairs, and prescreening services. For any company’s personnel department, these free services are great resources.
