If your company is seeking to expand its operations, chances are that working capital, new equipment purchases, and additional personnel will be a necessary part of the mix. The Manufacturer Advantage Program offers free services that can assist a company with their expansion needs and requirements.
Hiring and Training
The Manufacturer Advantage Program will work with the City’s “Pacific Gateway Program” to provide recruitment solutions. The Pacific Gateway’s business analysts will search for qualified job applicants based on a company’s specific needs. This group also offers assistance with a company’s mass recruitments (five or more employees). Prescreening services are available – designed to streamline employee candidate pools and allow for better recruiting decisions.
Recycled Materials Acquisition
Assisting a company with recycled materials acquisition is a free service offered by the Manufacturer Advantage Program. This is an important activity that helps in diverting precious earth resources from landfill disposal into productive economic use. By working with long-established contacts from companies that produce recycled materials and by accessing regional waste resource data bases from the California Integrated Waste Management Board, sources of virtually any recycled material can be identified, as well as quantity and availability of each type of material.
Loan Assistance
The Manufacturer Advantage Program can package a loan application that includes working capital and equipment purchase. There are a number of loan resources (State of California and City of Long Beach) that can be accessed.
